American gun violence has again reared its ugly head with the Texas mass shooting on the 24th of May at an Elementary school leaving 19 children and 2 adults dead. This makes the 27 school shooting this year.

The fact that many American still support owning a gun with at least 30% who say they own a gun. Many questions are being brought forward on who is to blame. The fact they are being committed mainly by teenagers whose only knowledge of guns is computer games and television.

As a non-American living in a country that basically outlaws gun ownership. The view is simply that guns really have no place in society (or any such society) with education being paramount and not blaming mental illness but with the way young Americans are constantly bombarded with gun violence in Films and the media with little reality of taking somebody life by gun violence.

America has made its own destructive problem that threatened to consume everything America holds dear, with too much being blamed on the wrong people when the American Constitution the very core of the United States often protects.

Yes, you can talk about disturbed people all day but if they had no access to semi-automatic weapons (in this case an AR-15). While many are tired of the government and American society blaming everyone but themselves.

The only way forward is the education of the media and the way young Americans perceive gun violence as normal as going to Mc Donalds.

Like I say as a non-American living in a gun-free nation. I do however understand that my country has itself a knife culture problem threatening our inner-City.

It is however simply a problem of the attitude of the many who are failing to stop gun violence in young people with the correct way of banning guns to people who have no place to own weapons and have the opportunity to use them indiscriminately on the weak and vulnerable.
